Names of new taxa published and types deposited – A case study

Abstract


A verification exercise was undertaken to check whether the types of the names of the new taxa published in an Indian Taxonomy journal ”Rheedea” between 1991 and 2004 are duly deposited in the different herbaria of Botanical Survey of India cited in the protologues. The results are summarized and the implications deliberated.
