Herbal Medicines Of Rajasthan: Human Health And Welfare

Abstract

Rajasthan has diverse climatic zones from Mt Abu hills with cold climate to Jaisalmer with temperatures rising upto 50 degree Celsius. Besides this Aravalli hill range traverses through Rajasthan and is rich habitat for Biodiversity. Rich biodiversity is source of large number of medicinal plants.  Several diseases relate with vitality, diabetes, memory loss, could be cured effectively by use of herbal medicine, which is generally not possible by the Allopathic medicines. However, there is no systematic documentation of this information. The present paper deals with documentation of plants from Rajasthan which have medicinal properties.
